Spring 2020 River Vale Field Hockey Clinic Open For Girls Grades K through 5
River Vale will be offering a Spring field hockey clinic open to River Vale residents that will focus on introducing the sport to girls in grades Kindergarten through 5th. All skill levels are welcome! This is a great opportunity to get to know a different sport while making friends in town.
The inaugural clinic will be held on Saturdays for six weeks at Mark Lane.
Session 1: 10:30am to 11:30am for grades K-3 Session 2: 11:30am to 12:30pm for grades 4-5
April: 18, 25 and May: 2, 9, 16 and 30 (no session on May 23rd due to Memorial Day Weekend). Make up date on June 6 in case of rain.
Each session will include coach-led instruction and live games, with all sessions running on Saturdays. Participants will be divided into three groups K-1, 2-3 and 4-5, based on the number of participants, and will learn the fundamental skills of field hockey, including stickhandling basics, dribbling, passing, and shooting. Each session will be taught through structured activities, fun games, and scrimmages and are designed to ensure learning and most importantly having fun!

The Clinic Participants will enjoy:

Parent volunteers and high school players serving as coaches

Equipment: All athletes should bring their own equipment including field hockey stick, shin guards, water bottle, turf shoes/sneakers and mouth guards.
We work closely with spring sports to try and avoid overlap with any games and/or practices.
