We would like to introduce the River Vale Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC). It is comprised of members of the community who are interested in improving various aspects of health and wellness. The mission of the MWC is to equip mayors and other key leaders with the tools to develop and implement active-living initiatives in their communities with the ultimate goal of improving health and reducing the skyrocketing health care costs that come with the obesity epidemic in New Jersey.
We are excited to announce the launch of the 2021 Mayors Wellness Campaign which will coordinate programs designed to promote healthy activities and well-being in the River Vale community. The goal of this campaign is to increase opportunities for residents of all age groups to participate in physical activity with a long-term goal of improving health.
The MWC supports mayors as champions of community health by creating the Healthy Town designation to recognize communities in which mayors have done an extraordinary job of promoting active living and healthy lifestyles.
