Join us for a free performance of beautiful, live music with the Ridgewood Symphony! This special event will be held on River Vale's Upper Grove Field on Sunday, July 21st starting at 4pm. Please bring chairs or a picnic blanket. Clyde’s Ice Cream will be there along with other food vendors, or you can bring your own food and drink. For over 80 years, the RSO has served northern New Jersey with high quality performances, internationally renowned guest soloists and unique education opportunities for young musicians through their Young Musicians Festival. MISSION The Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra is passionate about making great music! Pascack Valley Preschool has a few spaces still available for the 2024-25 school year. This is a unique educational program where certified and experienced Family & Consumer Science teachers instruct the preschoolers alongside the high school students. This program provides a varied learning environment for preschoolers with an opportunity for teenagers to learn about child development along with early childhood education through practical experience. The high school students interact with preschool children to apply what they have learned. In this unique program, preschoolers and high school students work and learn together. The Annual River Vale Flag Burning Ceremony will take place at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 22. If you have an American Flag in need of proper disposal, it's not too late to drop it off at Town Hall! Please use our outdoor flag disposal box at the side entrance to Town Hall at 406 Rivervale Road. Special thanks to Jack Misha from Troop 206 for providing this flag drop box to River Vale as his Eagle Scout project in 2021!

The Township of River Vale has lightning detectors placed at various locations in town. They are designed to detect lightning strikes within ten miles of each location.  Like most technology, and with the unpredictability of weather, they are not always 100% accurate.  If you hear thunder, or see lightning, please get indoors as quickly as possible.
